Emergency Services Plumbers
Our emergency plumbers are all Journeyman Plumbers that can take care of your emergencies when they arise 24/7. During regular business hours, there is no extra charge for emergency services. Please be aware there is an after-hours fee for emergency services after 5 pm weekdays and after 4 pm on Saturday until Monday morning. However, our trucks are fully stocked to take care of most issues in the initial trip.
So what is considered a plumbing emergency? Anytime there is water running onto the floor that can't be stopped is considered an emergency. A leaking faucet into a sink or bathtub is not considered an emergency. A clogged toilet when you have only 1 toilet in the house is an emergency. A clogged toilet when there are multiple toilets in the house is not an emergency. In the winter, frozen pipes are an emergency.
There are more issues that arise that are considered emergencies, but those above are the most common. Fell free to contact us to see to get help with your emergency plumbing services.
Emergency Plumbing FAQs
Yes. Shut off the water supply to the heater and cut its gas or breaker, then call (509) 535-5946. A leaking tank will not stop on its own and cannot be patched, so the priority is limiting damage while we get a replacement in. We carry common sizes so most failures are resolved in one visit.
Insulate any pipe running through an unheated crawl space, garage, or exterior wall. In a hard freeze, let a faucet on the coldest run drip and open cabinet doors under sinks so warm air reaches the plumbing. Disconnect garden hoses before the first freeze — a hose left attached is one of the most common causes of a burst hose bib in the Inland Northwest.
Most policies cover sudden and accidental water damage but not the cost of repairing the failed pipe itself, and they often exclude damage from long-term seepage a homeowner should have noticed. Document everything with photos before cleanup begins. We record what failed and what the repair involved, which is what an adjuster will ask for.
Rates for after-hours work differ from standard weekday service. We tell you the rate before dispatching so there are no surprises on the invoice. Ask about the Quality Service Club — membership includes benefits that reduce what you pay on service calls.
In most Spokane Valley homes it is where the water line enters the building — commonly in a basement, crawl space, or utility room near the front wall, or in a garage. There is also a curb stop near the street, usually under a metal lid, which typically requires a key tool. Find and label yours now; in an emergency you will not want to be searching.
Shut off the water. For a fixture, use its local stop valve; for anything larger, close the main shutoff. If a water heater is involved, cut its gas or breaker too. Move valuables away from the water, and avoid standing in water near powered equipment. Knowing where your main shutoff is before an emergency is the most useful thing you can learn as a homeowner.
Anything causing active damage or making the building unusable: a burst or leaking pipe, sewage backing up into fixtures, no water at all, a water heater leaking across a finished floor, a gas smell, or a failed sump pump with water rising. If you are unsure, call — describing what you are seeing takes a minute and we will tell you whether it can wait.
